25 Creative Quarantine Date Ideas

It’s almost been a month of quarantine, and if you’re itching for some new fun ideas to keep the romance alive, we’ve shared 25 quarantine date night ideas. If you’re like us, you’re quarantined at home with your person literally non-stop, without being allowed out of the house. It’s important to have some boundaries and do your own thing, but it’s also really important to create very special moments with your partner (and not constantly nag them about the dishes).

Now is the time to look at your partner and ask them to be your Quaran‘tine’ [isolated Valentine :)]. We’ve tried most of these quarantine date ideas and loved them, and if you try any of these, let us know how they go!

Quarantine Date Ideas

  1. Competition bake off

We love watching food competitions, and Worst Cooks in America inspired us to create some really fun, colorful baked goods.

Choose your favorite dessert and go head to head in a bake off! The great part about this is you’ll have yummy treats to enjoy at the end.

  1. Build a fort

No one is too old to build a fort, and this will be a great way to “go somewhere new” when you’re stuck inside. Grab those blankets sitting on your couch, take out the pillows and get started on making your “exotic” getaway.

If you want to take it up a notch, pitch a tent in your backyard and sleep under the stars together.

  1. Ask intentional questions

This time can also be such a great time to focus on deepening your relationship. For some inspiration, check out these 36 questions that start off light, and move towards very deep and intentional.

If you want to spice it up a bit, recreate Hot Ones-style interviews by asking a question as you progressively eat hotter and hotter wings.

  1. Mini fashion show

Dig into your closet and pull out your really fun outfits that you don’t have many opportunities to wear. Blast some music and get silly with it.

What a great reason to get out of those sweats you’ve worn 5 days straight.

  1. Create a silly video (Tik Tok)

If you’re creatively inclined, come up with a silly video idea and use a day to shoot and create your masterpiece. Share it out with friends to share the laughter.

  1. Give each other massages

Search YouTube for massage tutorials, roll up your sleeves and get started. What a great way to make both people happy.

  1. Virtual Concert

So many concerts adjusted their performances to online live streams so everyone at home can enjoy the show. Dim the lights, turn up the volume, and enjoy your at home concert date night!

We’ve really enjoyed Digital Mirage for the DJ sets, but there are tons of options available.

  1. Game night

Pull out a deck of cards and spend the night playing some fun games! You can play War, Double Solitaire, Rummy, Egyptian Rat Screw, etc.

Spice it up by throwing some bets into the mix.

  1. Cook something you’ve never done before

What’s your favorite dish at your favorite restaurant? Try to recreate it at home! We’ve tried more recipes during this time than throughout our whole relationship, and it’s been super fun to add some variety to our days!

You also can’t go wrong with scouring Pinterest or randomly opening that cookbook you never use to a page and getting started.

  1. Play 20 Questions

This is a really fun game where one person thinks of something, anything really, and the other person gets 20 Yes/No questions to figure out what person 1 is thinking of.

This can be silly and lighthearted, or deeper and more serious.

  1. At home spa day

Who doesn’t love pampering themselves? Time to break out the fluffy robes, face masks, hair masks, moisturizers, face scrubs and the whole works. If you don’t own all of these items, do a quick google search on how to make your own masks and scrubs.

Make your own cucumber water, play some relaxing music, and enjoy.

  1. Get creative with the Amazon cardboard boxes

Usually, these boxes pile up and take up a ton of space until you can recycle them. Instead, use the boxes as a painting canvas or create something cool. Bless the internet…my favorite thing that I’ve seen created is a cardboard army tank for cats.

  1. Create an at home movie theater, tickets and all

We may finish Netflix during this quarantine period, but while we’re binging all this content, why not make an experience out of it? Create some tickets, pop the popcorn, grab the candy and enjoy your at home movie experience.

  1. Learn to do a dance together

YouTube is actually a blessing. Search for a fun dance routine tutorial, clear some space, and learn to do a fun dance together.

  1. Do a yoga class together

YouTube to the rescue…there are TONS of yoga classes for all different skill levels. I personally enjoy the more challenging Ashtanga primary series from FightMaster YouTube Channel, but you can find anything from relaxing Hatha to more challenging Vinyasa.

I’ve made it my goal to try to do a handstand, because, why not?

  1. Write each other love letters and hide them around the house

Who doesn’t love being told why they are amazing? This is super romantic – write love letters to your partner and hide them around the house. It’s a fun surprise when they stumble on a love letter and sparks that romantic vibe.

  1. Play a game where you hide things around the house and whoever finds it first, wins

Recreate an Easter egg hunt, and maybe even make a competition out of it. Hide something around the house and see how long it takes for your partner to find it. Whoever takes the shortest amount of time gets that massage.

  1. If you’re musically inclined, perform together

Pull out the musical instruments and have fun playing music together! Maybe this devolves into some karaoke?

  1. Create new cocktails…who has the best cocktail?

Pull out your at home bar, and get experimental with what you have. Who can come up with the best new cocktail with what you have?

  1. Recreate your first date

Travel back in time and pretend you both are at your first date, awkward flirting and all. Reminisce on those early memories and you’ll get a good laugh.

  1. Arts and crafts

Time to get a little crafty with what you have lying around the house. Pull up your Pinterest board and try some crafts! You can start with friendship bracelets, snowmen from cotton balls, whatever you want!

  1. Rainbow Road competition

If you have Mario Kart, break it out and relive those college weekends with a good Rainbow Road competition. Maybe you want to make it drunk driving and every time you fall off the road, take a drink!

  1. Disney Sing Along

Few things make me as happy as watching a classic Disney movie. There is a theater in San Francisco that holds sing alongs with classic Disney movies, so why not recreate this at home? For some strong suggestions, throw on Lion King, Little Mermaid, or Aladdin and have fun with it.

  1. At home workout

Sweating together brings you closer, plus, since gyms are closed, we need to be a bit more proactive about staying in shape to maintain our health. You and your partner should hold each other accountable to maintain your workouts and you’ll be so thankful you do it together.

  1. At home brunch date

I miss my brunch dates, but at least we can recreate a fun brunch date at home. Bottomless mimosas? Yes please…I will find that bottom. And the best part? No $600 bill at the end of it.

We hope you and your partner can enjoy some of these quarantine date ideas to keep the sparks flying while staying healthy!
